Saturday Update

Updating from the Spiro home. . . John has been comatose all day with very shallow breathing. He is peaceful and comfortable, which is an answer to prayer. The family is surrounded by friends and family and the evidence of God's grace is abounding in their home. They are grateful to be carried by the prayers of so many - God's specific care has been shown time and again over the past week. We know that John will soon be with his Savior.

The family covets your prayers and we will update the blog when John enters his eternal rest.

  1. Dear Spiros,
You are constantly in our thoughts as we lift you up to the Lord in prayer. My heart is heavy, but I know the Lord has promised that he is with you and he will carry you.
Is. 43:2 -- "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; and the flame shall not consume you."
    All our love to you,
    The Hercegs

  2. Hello, I am a friend of Rhonda Felts and I know of your family because of her. At 11:45PM on 11/15/2002, nine years ago my father lost his battle with ALS and went home to be with the Lord. We had prayed for his salvation for over twenty years and in the last year and a half of his life he came to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior! Although he is greatly missed one day we have the hope that we will see him again! I Thank Jesus for letting him be my Dad! I can understand what you all are going through and my thoughts and prayers are with you all! Remember we have a Savior that can comfort us through the most troubling times that we may pass through!

  5. Dear Spiros,

Our hearts ache for you all, but we know that your faith is strong. What a blessing it was that you were able to share Christmas together and had the opportunity to enjoy that time and your precious memories. We know that Jesus will be welcoming John with open arms and will bestow many crowns on him. We love you all and we are holding you in our hearts and prayers.

    With much love and blessings,

    the Riordans
